Hack · Toniebox
Serve your Toniebox audio from TeddyCloud
Host alternative cloud services for a Toniebox 1 on your own server; certificate and network changes depend on its hardware variant.
Your server supplies Toniebox audio, including your own files and cached original content, through TeddyCloud.

What it costs
The setup guide covers Toniebox 1 variants CC3200, CC3235 and ESP32; Toniebox 2 support is still in progress. Expect to open the box, back up its certificates and change its flash; the server needs port 443 for the box connection.
Steps
- Prepare the server using the setup guide and identify your box's hardware variant.
- Follow the matching certificate-dump guide and retain the original flash and certificates.
- Use the matching replacement-CA guide, including the ESP32 backup checks where applicable.
- Complete your variant's DNS or destination setup; ESP32 can use a server address patched into its image.
Risks and undo
The project warns that losing the original client certificate or private key prevents reconnection to the official cloud. Preserve those files and the original flash before changing anything; the ESP32 guide requires checking the backup before flashing, and switching back depends on your hardware's certificate method.
